ceph-mds-dbg software package provides debugging symbols for ceph, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ceph-mds-dbg
ceph-mds-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ceph-mds-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ceph-mds-dbg *
You will get with ceph-mds-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
